Sean Bayntun is an accomplished pianist and musical director whose collaborations with PSP have led to multiple Jessie nominations and a well-deserved award for his superb work on our production of The Light in the Piazza.  Sean holds a Master’s degree in Piano Performance from Rice University and his extraordinary technical skills and musical intuition are more than a match for the most complex scores.  Sean looks forward to taking on the role of Thumbs Dubois in the band for Herringbone.

Kayla Dunbar HeadshotKAYLA DUNBAR – Director
Kayla Dunbar is a busy Vancouver-based director, choreographer and actor.  Her work includes productions with Bard on the Beach, the Arts Club, Chemainus Theatre Festival, the Vancouver Playhouse, City Opera, Delinquent Theatre, The Elbow Theatre, Itsazoo Productions, Zee Zee Theatre, Famous Artists Limited, Fugue Theatre, Gateway Theatre, Studio 58, Royal City Musical Theatre, TUTS, and more. Kayla has been nominated for 8 Jessie Richardson Theatre Awards, winning for her work in the ensemble cast of Avenue Q at the Arts Club and for her direction of Elephant and Piggie: We Are In A Play!, which also won Outstanding Production for Young Audiences for Carousel Theatre.  She is a graduate of the acting program at Studio 58 where she won the Sydney J. Risk Award and scholarship for outstanding skills in acting.

Luisa is thrilled to be joining Patrick Street Productions for Herringbone!  She was most recently seen in Touchstone Theatre’s production of Kill Me Now, and As You Like It and Lysistrata at Bard on the Beach.  Other credits include The Events (Pi Theatre), Detroit (Mitch and Murray Productions), The Rivals, Uncle Vanya and The Triumph of Love (Blackbird Theatre), Sisters, Leading Ladies, and Lend Me a Tenor (Gateway Theatre), Silent Sky, Shayna Maidel, Chickens and All Shook Up (Chemainus Theatre Festival), and eight seasons with Bard on the Beach.  Film and TV credits include Riverdale, Arrow, Supernatural, Reaper, The Client List, The Familiar, Ace of Hearts and Love and Other Dilemmas.  Luisa gives thanks for being able to live, work, and play on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh nations.  She is a five time Jessie Richardson Theatre Award nominee, a recipient of the Edmund Keane Sword Award, and a graduate of the UBC BFA Theatre.  Please visit www.luisajojic.com.

Since founding PSP with Katey Wright, Peter has directed everything from their inaugural production of Into the Woods to his own musical adaptation of It’s a Wonderful Life.  Although primarily working as a director now – he’s always happy to get back on stage.  Recent acting credits include Rodgers & Hammerstein: Out of a Dream (PSP); the title role in Don Juan (Blackbird Theatre); Musings (his one-man cabaret as part of the Impromptu Cabaret Festival), and a return to the Stanley Theatre as Lumiere in Beauty And The Beast.  You may also know Peter from his leading roles with numerous Metro Vancouver companies including TUTS (Josh Baskin in big: The Musical), Royal City Musical Theatre (42nd Street and the title role in The Music Man), the Gateway Theatre (Lend Me A Tenor and Leading Ladies, both co-starring Luisa Jojic), Bard on the Beach (Cymbeline), the Vancouver Playhouse (No Great Mischief), and on every Arts Club stage and touring venue in BC (Forever Plaid, She Loves Me, Dirty Blonde, Dial M For Murder, Dames At Sea). A passionate theatre educator, when not directing or performing Peter is usually teaching in private coachings or master classes around BC.

Sophie Tang is a Jessie Award Winner and Nominee, she holds a MFA theatre design degree from UBC and a BFA theatre production and design degree from SFU.
